Supporting farmers to deliver food sustainably

My Plan for North Devon 2024 onwards:

It is vital our farmers are supported to produce more fine British food and our land is used to optimise sustainable food production whilst improving biodiversity and reducing water run off, that can affect the quality of our rivers and beaches.

A recap on my 2019 priorities:

Farming has been and is still going through a difficult time. Covid and Ukraine have reminded us, amongst many other things, that we are very reliant on home grown produce. We must continue to back and support our local farmers through the significant post Brexit changes and beyond. As one of the NFU’s farming champions, and a patron of the Conservative Rural Forum and now a member of the EFRA Select Committee I regularly liaise between our farming communities and policy makers.
