Helping with the Cost of Living

Helping with the cost of living

Requests for advice and support to help with the cost of living are a regular feature of enquiries into my constituency team. Whilst my office and I are always looking to help, as an MP I am unable to provide individuals with financial advice, and I believe this is better left to organisations such as those listed in this section.

Building on Government support

As you may be aware, the Government has announced a range of supportive measures to help families through rises in the cost of living. The Government is providing a £150 one-off Energy Bills Rebate for most households in Council Tax bands A-D, as well as a £200 discount on electricity bills for all customers. This collates to a £9.1 billion Energy Bills Rebate to support families with rising global energy prices.

Further updates on what Government support is being offered can be found on the North Devon County Council website.

With that being said, I've created this section to showcase a variety of local advice and support from budgeting and debt management to help with weekly food shops to further assist families in times of need.. To see a complete compilation of local support available to you, click the support and advice section to the left.
